The first step in our process is getting to know you, and allowing you to get to know us. We will set up a time that works best for you, and give you a phone call. During that call, we will find out more about your business, what you need from us, and let you know anything you want to know about us.
Sign Up for QuickBooks Online
If you do not already have a QuickBooks online subscription, we will help you sign up for one, at the best price possible.
The next step is to sign an engagement letter with K & B. K & B uses DocuSign to get electronic signatures from both the client and the bookkeeper doing the work. The engagement letter will spell out the exact services K & B will provide, the cost associated, as well as the bank account information of the client to pay K & B for the work.
In your QuickBooks file, please follow these steps to invite K&B to be your bookkeeper:
Click the Gear Icon at the top right of your QuickBooks page
On the left of the box, click "Manage Users"
Click "Invite Accountant" from here
You will put in the email address for your bookkeeper.
Bank Account Access
In order to complete the necessary bookkeeping work for you, your bookkeeper will need to access your bank account. All login information is kept secure in Zoho Vault. We may need you to help us log in the first time, to make sure we have the correct username, password and security questions.
NOTE: We understand giving your personal banking login can be concerning for many of you. This is a vital step in providing the work you will need for your bookkeeping. Please express any concerns with your bookkeeper ahead of time.
Now that your business is engaged with K & B, you can relax. Focus on growing your business and let us handle the bookkeeping from here on out.
K & B will provide you with the following financial reports by the 5th of the following month:
Profit & Loss
Cash Flow Report
*Other reports may be available upon request.
When it comes time for you to file your taxes, K & B will provide your accountant with up-to-date financials.
